Strasbourg defeated Lens 1-0 to move up to fourth position in the French first division, thanks in large part to the contribution of the Black Stars defense.

At the Stade de la Meinau, a well-taken penalty by Ludovic Ajorque was enough to give the home team the all-important win they needed.

In Strasbourg’s bid to qualify for the European Championships next season, Djiku began and played the full game throughout the entire length of the match.

As a result of the win, Djiku became the player with the most appearances in the French elite division, surpassing the previous record of 182 held by Ghana captain Andre Ayew.
